Environmental monitoring
We specialise in (the co-ordination of) sampling and sampling strategies, practical field work, chemical analysis and data evaluation of monitoring of pollutants in the aquatic compartments: sediment, water and biota..
Biomonitoring
Biomonitoring can be divided into:- the (chemical) monitoring of bio-accumulated pollutants in biological tissue, and
- the monitoring of biological effects, such as in biological early warning (BEWS) systems.
Bivalves, such as mussels or clams, prove to be very useful.

Musselmonitor
The Musselmonitor® is a biological early warning sensor for continuous on-line monitoring of surface waters, effluents, drinking water inlets, seawater.
At the occurrence of sudden pollution, the system will generate an alarm signal within minutes, which may also induce automated sampling.
We offer advice on applications, practical installation, training of staff and evaluation.
